say what you want about marty, but i didn't feel as bad after a marty loss than a norv loss.

Except for those two playoff losses that were both thanks to bad coaching.

True Chili..Marty was like a cursed voodoo doll in those games. But he could coach fundamentals in his sleep a hell of a lot more than Norv ever could. Can you say that our team would have lost the game last night the same way that Norv did? No way...I've never seen a Marty coached team screw up quite like that! Yes he sucked in the playoffs and only God knows why but I have to say that Norv only got as far in the playoffs as he did with basically Marty's built team in 2007 and it has been a sharp descent since!!! Not good..not good at all. I still think with Jim Harbaugh or a great HC like him and we are not in this predicament like we are now. Good HC's find ways to make what they have work and they adapt to what you have on the shelf. Norv is like a robot who can't comprehend or compute that his scheme doesn't fit the personnel. :-( That kind of thinking has mediocrity written all over it.

A good coach can't also be a good offensive line. You keep missing the point.

A good coach could recognize that we have a horrendous O-line and stop calling plays with seven-step drops that take forever to develop. Of course, a good coach wouldn't run an offense that hasn't been changed since Zubaz and Hypercolor were in style.

Chili I get it ...we DON'T have an Oline right now so a good HC has to adapt and do slants and shotguns and play action etc. I think you are missing my point! :pimp: Anyway, I get that an HC can't play Oline so he should adapt his playbook, right?

The good thing about Marty was that he knew how to grind a game, how to win in the trenches, how to keep control of a game. Sure the playoffs were a let down but seriously? I'd take that anytime over the shit that Norv tries to pass off. We were 24 points up. 24... that's 4 spcores to beat us... 4 unanswered scores...

At no point with dear Norval does it feel like the Bolts are in control of a game. It always feels like we are one play away from disaster.

This was Manning who beat us. Manning who has been a target for our linebackers for years!

And he owned us all of the second half...

Rivers is sliding to nothing faster than Felix fell to earth...

Fire the fuckwit and move on. Now.

So you guys would rather be 14-2 with the best team in the league and get beat in the playoffs due to bad coaching???

This Marty or Norv convo became a done deal the minute Norv got us to the AFC championship with 3 broken star players. Nothing gets that type of thing done other than coaching.

Has he worn out that welcome and become the commander of a vastly inferior team......yeah, but neither he nor Marty are responsible for building those teams.

This is just silly....and worrying about what folks are doing that are not chargers and that aren't even in the league doing well somewhere else after years of not being a charger is just nuts!

i was doing this mostly as a joke, but i i'm a marty fan. oh yeah and the patriots loss in 07 wasn't his fault if that idiot gets down after the INT and doesn't fumble the ball we win end of story.
