I agree! But that song came up organically in my conversation with L. I don't want to listen to it anymore either. Here, When I first heard this song on a metal blade compilation tape in '87, I thought it was a dude out doing Axl Rose with a sick thrash band. It's the late Dawn Crosby (female) singing

    I didn't take it as a dis....my tastes are a bit freaky!...LOL!

In fact.....Rod is another one of my favorites. The only songs I can think of that have any similarities are "Hot Legs" and "It's All Over Now", but they don't remind me much.

I'm not a big disco fan though.

Some had great musicianship and I love string and horn arrangements so I dig the bands that did it well, but for the most part it's not my thing. Disco was for the ladies....which I woulda absolutely went with, cause I dig ladies and I can dance.....LOL! I think too many bands that did dance songs during the period got lumped into disco by many casual listeners....when so much of those band's other music was anything but.

But if we are talking 70's...I'm a funk, soul, southern rock, classic rock kind of dude. I love the progressive jazz fusion from that period too. What Hancock and Corea were doing was amazing. Bob James too. I saw Chick when he came to my college on a tour with Patitucci and Wecki.....dude was inside the grand piano playing the dang strings.....sick!!!

But yeah...I'm a weirdo musically, what can I say.....I like a little of everything!
