"Rise of the Planet of the Apes"..................those chimps should have been ripping off peoples face.....or eating their feet...or ripping the cops balls off their scrotal area. That was one convincing. talking leader "Caesar' "big pussy of a Monkey general" they had leading the pack........could have been a great movie......turned into a Hollywood "feel-good" story. I was hoping for more limbs and skulls o be ripped off...you know, like in real life!
I made a similar critique! lol...so true...i also read a science journal that reviewed the movie and had similar problems (though they liked the science -away from the propaganda) edit...cant find either but let's say that somehow their super brains allowed them to overcome instinct...waging a battle WITHOUT killing the enemy isn't very smart and lessens the chances of winning. Since they wouldn't have been brainwashed by years of indoctrination , they wouldn't have seen any "advantage" in not hurting the state they were attacking either. As if the cops and military would somehow think, "boy they sure were kind! I've changed my mind and will not follow orders to kill them". I love Caesar giving the, "this is not the way, brother" look to his mate who was about to fuck up someone. Maybe they should have centered this film in Germany, so we could watch the movie it should have been Hollywood loves Jesus and Gandhi when it comes to going against the US
For those of you who like hip hop, Michael Rapaport's documentary of ATCQ is out. Pretty cool, watched it last night.
