    swoop I post stuff.

LaDainian Tomlinson retired last week without a Super Bowl ring, but he doesn’t view that as an indication that his career is incomplete. Tomlinson noted on NBC SportsTalk that football is a team sport, and no matter how much a player does individually, he can’t get a Super Bowl ring on his own. And when…[IMG]

I'm not even reading this crap, cause if he says one more crappy thing about his team-mates.....I think I might lose the last little bit of respect I have for him!

On which one you should want......there is logic in saying you should want the Hall, cause that meant you were great as an individual, but just didn't have the team. Lots of bums have rings.

Still....a ring when you were a franchise player and a huge part of what the team was doing meant you did those great things on the biggest stages....and LT's playoff legacy will always be tainted.

So since only the hall is left for him.......I can guess which one doofus said he wanted more!

Somebody read it and tell me I'm wrong and that he said it hurts like heck that he couldn't deliver a bowl to the organization that drafted him, to his team-mates that counted on him, and the fans that loved him!:rolleyes2:

    I understand, L

Allow me to be of assistance!

Tomlinson noted on NBC SportsTalk that footballis a team sport, and no matter how much a player does individually, he can’t get a Super Bowl ring on his own. And when asked whether he’d rather have a Super Bowl ring but not get into the Hall of Fame, or be a Hall of Famer without a Super Bowl ring, he didn’t hesitate.
“Hall of Fame player without a ring, because you’ve got to sacrifice so much individually just to be good,”
Tomlinson says he wants Marty Schottenheimer to present him for induction in the Hall of Fame:

Tomlinson, who stepped away from the game for good this month, never won a Super Bowl, but he becomes Hall of Fame eligible in 2017.

The title: "Hall of Fame Running Back" carries far more weight than "played on a team that won the Super Bowl." Bench warmers on the winning teams get rings, so does anybody connected with the team. You have to do something to make the Hall.

I agree what has more weight but the point isn't that...it's LT saying that! I haven't heard another hof player say something like it before and I made a joke on another thread about it...

Marty should still be alive then and that's the guy he wants (I made joking speculations about it years ago). So fitting too! they both have similar goals! Fuck the Super Bowl!

    LightsoutSD BRING YOUR LUNCH PAIL!!

There's plenty of players that have said they would trade it all (hof) for a ring. Not him though.......says a lot about him IMO.
