We have a lot of news posters here and I'd like to make a couple simple requests when posting news.

First, we have swoop who does a fairly good job at pulling in the latest, but sometimes he posts stuff after it has already been posted. Normally I can take a quick scan and delete stuff from him when necessary. The difference between swoop and actual humans is that he uses no common sense when posting.

Please use some common sense when posting news. Check the forums. Make sure the news or stories you are about to post haven't been posted BEFORE. Sometimes the news you are about to post was actually put in by someone two days ago.

Please don't use all caps in your story title. It's just plain annoying.

Swoop doesn't post entire articles, because the feeds he grabs from don't contain the whole article. It's annoying as well.

If you want to post some news, put the whole article (if possible) and link back to the original story. It's not necessary to add pictures.

Lastly, the latest posted poll in Chargers Discussion appears on the front page. If you are posting a poll, please use a descriptive question with good answers.

A little bit of time and effort can make the board more readable and enjoyable for all. It'll also take a few of the garbage tasks away from the mods as far as editing, merging, and deleting threads.

    Thanx all.

Sorry for the Poll, but I just found the button that creat the Poll right now...I posted in "Bar and Grill" Forum, but I didnt use the right question in the Poll's Title.

I will creat a real Poll. I couldnt delete that one, if someone could do it for me, I appreciate.

    Sorry again...:(

SonofaBolt Go AJ! And take Norv with you.

I would add to that, make your thread title distinct, especially if several articles have already been posted on the same story, like the whole LT situation. If you have an article with a different take, dress up the thread title a little. Sometimes I'll precede the thread title with the source to let people know that it's something else other than from a san Diego news source (USAToday.com: LT agrees to contract restructure, or KansasCityStar: Chargers win in heartbreaker over the Chiefs)

And if you want to add your own comments, please reply in a separate post, don't add it to the bottom of the article that you just posted.

I am not at all worried about Bar and Grill polls. These guidelines are just for Chargers/NFL Discussion :)
