Sorry about this post guys but I read only the first reply before coming to GTP to see how the news was breaking here. I then went back and saw the later replies and found that a lot of these chiefs fans are dicks.

He played with more intensity than anyone I've ever seen in any sport. There were times I thought he was going to pop a blood vessel he got so amped.

Dave Duerson had that "post traumatic concussion syndrome", too.....it's a fucking shame.

    Why not in head though??

We had mutual friends and I found him to be an extremely accommodating and friendly person to random fans who would come up and interrupt what he was doing. He always called people friendly things, like "guy" as if he knew them.

What's funny is that he was always on the "most overrated" lists but consider that he played not to get stats! When he came in, I remember it was a rough start (think he was ejected from his first game) and there was a story in the paper a couple of years later where either Ron Lynn or Mike Haluchak was talking about how they convinced him after that game to be the all around linebacker he was and they told him that he was going to be the greatest in the history of the game. Because that first year, fans were initially really pissed off that he wasn't just set free on quarterbacks. So that he got as much credit as he does without all the sacks, pretty much proves how awesome he was. I don't have statistics to show but he solo blitzed on runs a lot and dropped a lot of backs for losses (funny those don't count as much in fans' views) but that wasn't even his only thing--He just owned the game in every way. But it's true...if he was lined up to be the one dimensional Lawrence Taylor, he would have been that
