    LightsoutSD BRING YOUR LUNCH PAIL!!

Didn't read the article....I hate Canepa. But should we not celebrate Seau as a person as well? No need to read it. Even if he does answer the question I asked. He's a moron and the title bothers me.

Chargers chaplain Shawn Mitchell tells Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times that the family of Chargers linebacker Junior Seau has decided to allow his brain to be studied. Seau died Wednesday of a gunshot wound to the chest. His death has been ruled a suicide. Per Farmer, the family has not yet determined which…[IMG]

I read it Lightsout...he just talked about how Junior played and how tough it was to game plan for his unorthodox style.

He didn't go anywhere interesting or controversial with it.

It's actually pointless for those of us that ever saw him play....we know how big he impacted games. Go ahead and skip it........he only points out the obvious with a couple quotes to convince himself......I guess, cause we already knew!

This is a pretty chilling read. It gives some insight that I was unaware of.

    Plummer pretty
Plummer nailed it. Leaving the NFL isn't too much different than getting out of the military. "What next?" I know I went through it. You go from a high rev lifestyle (from rock star) to the "civilian world" (groupie), where things definitely don't operate the same way and it's a shock.

Junior was all about football and when the show was over, it must have been hell for him. The free time, not having to train, study for an opponent, not having a routine, it will kill you, literally, if you haven't prepared or are not prepared. Back that with multiple TBI's (Traumatic Brain Injuries) and you have a recipe for trouble. Transition counseling, as Plummer points out, is a great idea. I hope the league is listening to him.

Carolina Bolt Ohhhhh!! what a surprise

That article needs to be sent to the Commisioners office and all the team owners.
Plummer is not asking alot, what he's asking for is not costly at all.

Setting up a transition program for guys who are done playing can be done without spending a lot of money. I'm sure some retired players who made the transition wouldn't mind helping out with this.

Players need to be better prepared for making transition after career full of meaning, structure ends.
