    Minimum wage was $1.65 per hour. Duane Thomas was our "featured" back. The Padres played at Westgate Park. The tallest building in downtown San Diego was the El Cortez Hotel.

    Gas was 23 cents a gallon and the price was dictated by gas station owners on opposite sides of the street or opposite corners, it was called "gas wars", and nobody heard of OPEC.

    (not sure of your reasons, but the Olympics are devastating to the cities hosting them. Politicians who profit from getting them are traitors to the people. It's a racket)

    I remember going to the corner gas station with a gas can for my dads mower when I was 9 or 10 and paying .23 a gallon and that was for ethyl no less. Shit a loaf of bread was .25:)
