VJ is one of the best blocking WRs in the NFL. That is something that will be missed. Gates and Floyd are plenty capable of making those catches high over the middle, though... Ladarius Green may be an instant sensation in this offense as well.

Floyd gets hurt too often and VJ is taller and faster than gates. I hope you are correct.

How is this post still alive, it was Jabar Gaffney for goodness sakes?? He's been signed elsewhere for a week. All the VJ stuff is dead conversation. He's gone, a topic to discuss when talking about the "old days".

As for Floyd, he is absolutely not on the field enough due to injuries. It's fact, not a debate. Until he can play a full season, he's not worth arguing over either.

Gates isn't exactly healthy the last several years either.

It justifies why we brought in an excess of receivers in free agency and drafted a tight end in the draft.

What's disturbing is that we picked up two guys that are hurt plenty also in Royal and Meachem. Were there not guys out there with a history of consistently showing up on Sundays?? Because that, in my opinion, is all our QB needs to get the job done (well, that and an intact remotely effective offensive line)

I guess by having 8 receivers (or so) on the opening day roster, we're sure to have SOMEBODY suiting up on Sundays for PR to throw to.
