Anybody think the Chargers ought to bring him in for depth? I know I have said this often, but I just don't think Malcom Floyd can be counted on. SOMEBODY is going to have to step up.

Damn Sax, you have no faith in Floyd... He has been sat, sent to practice squad and I think even cut one season. Compared to that, the time he has missed due to injuries is minimal. And with all the time VJ has missed(being the #1 receiver) Floyd has had a lot of extra responsibility. I agree I dont think he is a #1 receiver but I definitely like the dude and think he will get better. Especially with a full mini/training camp this season. Thats Lil Malc, lol!

...But, I would also take Gaffney for sure!

I like his abilities on the field! LOVED what he brought early in his career and hoped, after he got cut, that they would bring him back.

Still, I am tired of him missing games due to injury. V.J. was a dumbass, which is why he was gone. Now, he is no longer a problem. Floyd needs to show up and I just don't trust him to be able to play 16 games. Frankly, I am not sure about Meachem, either. I have great hopes for Vincent Brown and I think Royal (injury concerns there, too) can help, but I am concerned about the depth at the position.

I think Gaffney would be a good fit. I don't see anyone on the roster being a #1 but I see several strong #2 candidates and that just might be enough, especially if they bring in a veteran like Gaffney.

I totally feel that... and with Rivers these #2s will at times look lie #1s.

Curious why you would pass on him. Started 15 games, 68 receptions, 947 yards (14 of them over 20 yards).

Granted, A.J. would never go after him or anyone else we have heard of!

I think he could help, or someone like him.

SonofaBolt Go AJ! And take Norv with you.

Patriots signed WR Jabar Gaffney to a two-year contract.

After only spending a seventh-round pick at the receiver position, the Pats will head into offseason activities with Gaffney, Julian Edelman, Deion Branch, Anthony Gonzalez, and Donte' Stallworth behind starters Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd. Gaffney showed last season that he has plenty left at age 31, setting career bests across the board. Already familiar with the Patriots' offense after spending 2006-2008 in New England and 2009-2010 in Denver with Josh McDaniels, Gaffney won't struggle to make Chad Ochocinco expendable.

Well, THAT isn't an option anymore! Anybody else getting the sense that the Patriots are going to be REALLY good AGAIN this year?

VJ is NOT a dumbass and that is why he is gone and enjoying a fantastic multi year contract. AJ is the dumbass...could have had VJ for way less than 10 million before he went Dad on him
