OK, here's my thoughts. After being stuck on Battlefield and MW3 for the last 3 weeks, I will just compare the two based on multiplayer only. Pros of MW3: Lots of Action: Literally 10 seconds until you are in the middle of a firefight Quick 10 minute matches: Easy to quit and do something else when you need to Lots of friends to play with Small map: Easy to find an enemy The "feel" of the weapons: Fells like you are unleashing a cannon on someone's head Graphics: Smooth as butter frame rate 2 player splitscreen, even in multiplayer Cons of MW3: Too easy to rank up Clan Tag hackers that hack their clan tags to look like the xbox buttons annoying the piss out of me Holy Shit Moment: Fighting to keep a capture point in Domination Pros of BF3: Vehicles: Damn I love fucking shit up with a tank Destruction: I love blowing holes in buildings with my weapons, especially if there's a god forsaken sniper hiding in one. You can literally blow up almost anything with gigantic explosions. Squad Spawning: If you are playing with friends, it is easy to play with them side by side in a whole game. Ranking up: I have played roughly 40 hours of BF and I am only at level 28 out of 100. Each gun can have up to 20 attachments that rank up separately, and so does each vehicle. I doubt I will ever get to the end of the ranking system. Animations: Love the way you jump over things and also knife people in BF. Cons of BF3: The maps are fucking HUGE: Which is awesome if you have a vehicle, not so much if you spawn in a spot and have to run for 2 minutes until you MAY get into a battle. Team Deathmatch: It's OK, but I much prefer a good firefight in MW3 due to controls and MW3's 60 fps. 20 minute matches Not keen on their grenades Campers Holy Shit Moment: I have two. There is not much better than fucking up an apache with a tank. Unbelievably hard and I did it twice in one match the other night. Also, hearing an RPG whiz by your ear 6 inches from your head, narrowly missing you: AWESOME. Verdict: It's a mood thing. Both are great games and they are both almost totally different. Each one is fantastic. If I have a short amount of time to play or want to party up, I play MW3. If I want to blow some shit up with some sheer devastation but also have some infantry fun, I play Battlefield.
