yeah, malt. though they still taste alright, I think they changed the recipe to be cheaper a long time ago. in fact, most candy has! I'm 42, so remember the time when cane sugar was used instead of corn. butter fingers used to have butter
That's it!!!!.....the candy wars have begun!!! First off....Kenny's juicy twists are better than twizzlers and red vines!!! So let's just get that out of the way out the gate! Now onto the real issue..... It takes a sick mind to want to discuss Whoppers over Duds seriously! It's really not even close if your taste buds actually work! Whoppers taste like a thin layer of musty chocolate and then slightly sweetened chalky cardboard balls......LOL!
That's the truth! You got me by a handful of years...but I remember sugar! You know what they can't fool me on.....caramel! It used to melt in your mouth and was so rich and creamy tasting! There's just something they can't get right in caramel without the dang sugar!
doing research for the candy wars, mild duds (which I don't hate) got nasty after 2008. now they aren't covered in milk chocolate, but cocoa mixed in oil. I seem to remember trying raisenettes recently and they sucked bad and had that chemical filmy aftertaste
Yes Whoppers are round and duds failed....OK....but...... just because they can roll those little toe-jam balls perfectly round doesn't make eating them a good idea!.....LOL!
