I read a book called, "Nift the Lean" (great fantasy writing FYI) many years ago that explained what happened when people went to hell; Unseen by the living, a giant lizard man crawled through the newly dead body and collected its soul in a sack. This was then carried down to the underworld where there was a giant river with a ferry crossing. Depending on how great the soul, it was either a disgusting swimming creature taken half way across the river and dumped in the water, or was some degree of more and taken across the river to travel on. Maybe JoePope is now a slimy, one-eyed, frightened little blob constantly being consumed by larger monsters in a river of muck.
isnt that what basically happens in the casket when the maggots and bugs get to you? anyways at one time little boy fucking was perfectly acceptable in certain societies, so maybe he's petitioning satans minions to get to the part/time of heaven where God said it was ok for this type of stuff to happen.
