It was brought up earlier that for Troll purposes, I should argue against "a topic that is scientifically proven to be certain". I won't but I'll let these dumb broads kick start a topic that is scientifically proven to be certain and wait for the crickets to start chirping in here like they did when I suggested the topic earlier Miss Vermont (13:00) should win Miss Un-USA for smartest answer and 1st runner up should be Miss Connecticut (2:27) for being the smartest broad by saying "yes" and nothing else. Other runner ups are Miss California (1:49), and Miss New Mexico (9:46) (sorry, Miss Massachusetts...though you know what's up, the answer was a little safe) And when I call the rest of them "dumb broads", it isn't to say they are especially stupid! In fact, most of their appeals to subjective realty and freedom of choice concerning facts and fantasy are smarter than what I've heard from most USicans Touchy! Discuss!
Um...do you mean "Evolution Thread ....as in, no matter what subject the thread begins with it will almost undoubtedly evolve into a topic about either Corporate take over of the planet or Racism?
like a subject about racism does? No, but you are welcome to continue as you are and I'll guess which Miss USA contestant you most remind me of
Alright, going back to the the threads purpose....what are you asking or stating? Is this a question as put to the contestants on whether or not evolution should be taught in school or are we just supposed to be analyzing the dumb broads and their answers...or should I say their attempts at answers?
heheh I first stated that evolution is scientifically proven to be certain and expect silent disagreement from most people reading this thread.....but please, Go where you want! Free for all. I think most of the USA believing that all thoughts are merely opinions and all opinions are equal is interesting. Without getting into the ones who flat reject evolution, most of these women state that belief in subjective realty as well as any college kid deprived of liberal arts, and to me that's fascinating.
You've got to remember that these are women/girls that are looking to turn this pageant into leverage for whatever career they a looking to get into and/or just staying in the whole "pageant" world....they are trying to say the right things...politically correct things in order to not commit political suicide in not only the contest but wherever it may take them afterwards. I was actually surprised that a few took an actual stance on the question....have to imagine that they lost points for that.
I agree some probably did but most seemed real satisfied in their "middle ground" stance. Then there were the ones equating scientific theory to beliefs and thoughts lol. Miss Vermont will survive if she stays in Vermont but poor Miss New Mexico is doomed!
Oh, by the way....it's a non question to begin with for several reasons but also why contests like this are so popular with the religious right. If they answer without giving proper due to the religious faction then there will be repercussions. The question in it's very asking negates two things. One that there is no other viable scientific study on the historical development of the earth to be taught....Two that regardless of creationism being legitimate or not. It is a non-issue in the public school factor since being a religious documentation it violates the separation of church and state if taught as a public curriculum .
lol, I agree yes very loaded! (concerning "One that there is no other viable scientific study on the historical development of the earth to be taught"...are you saying there is more than the broad theory of evolution that is a viable scientific study?)
