Don't change the subject! That one thing I did in college has nothing to do with how gay baseball is. I mean look at this shit:

I know I'm a dick for rubbing this in after years of the Frank Mccourting of the Dodgers, but....
    And baseball is still gay.

For someone who thinks baseball is gay, you do realize that you have more posts in this thread than anyone else, right?

For some reason, the sport offends me. It's not the gayness though. It just pisses me off for some reason. I can't explain it. I'll blame the Yankees.

Say what you want, but these young Padres are starting something special. I said it was a new era and I stand by it. I didn't think they'd win the division or anything this year, but show some real potential and they have.

Headley is close to becoming a star, Alonso has the most doubles by any padre rookie(tied with Santiago but there's a month left). Grandal continues to impress, as is Cabrerra. I love me some Amarista! And Quinton is a beast! Other role players like Forsythe and Denorfia continue to produce as well.

The one thing I didn't see coming was all the injuries to the pitching staff. I still feel Luebke will be a force next year. Casey Kelly looks good so far though he has a lot of developing to do. Cashner, Stults, Bass, and many others seem very promising to me.

Also the new owners have flat out said that the pay role will NOT be what it has been in the past. Sounds good to me! Spend that money! Get people in the seats!! GO PADRES!!

Like I said in another thread, I would love to see the 2013 Padres look something like this:

    SP:
    Peavy
    Richard
    Luebke
    Bass
    Stauffer

    RP:
    Gregerson
    Thatcher
    Layne
    Cashner (??)
    Street
    Free Agent

    Lineup:
    Maybin - CF
    Cabrera - SS
    Headley - 3B
    Quentin - LF
    Alonso - 1B
    Grandal - C
    Forsythe - 2B/3B/SS
Free Agent - RF (Nick Swisher is going to be available...)

    Bench:
    Hundley - C
    Denorfia or Venable - OF
    Amarista - MIF/OF
    Kotsay - OF
    Free Agent

I know it would never happen, but that would be a team to watch. The FA RF would need to be a bat with either speed or power. I'm just tired of waiting on Deno and Venable to break out. Keep one as a 4th OF, but no need for both. The bench FA would need to be a utility guy who could rest Alonso once in a while. Cashner is another guy who could stay or go in my eyes.
