You know what....just when you wanna think AJ is lettin' it all hang out this season, cause he knows it's do or die......that so and so makes a move like this.....automatically projecting himself into our future!

And people will say it's ok...it was just a 5th round pick. We aren't any worse off.....but this sure as heck doesn't make us better off right now.........and just like the last 2 project picks (Waters with his knee and Byrd in a serious car accident)....it very possibly never will.

We need players now....not a couple seasons from now!

There are plenty of potential contributors that I'd rather see us take a flier on. We need a strong safety......guess what....once upon a time we got a guy named Rodney Harrison in the....yup you guessed it......5th round!

    swoop I post stuff.

The Chargers took Penn State guard Johnnie Troutman in the fifth round of the NFL draft, but they’re not expecting him to play as a rookie. Troutman had surgery on Thursday after he suffered a torn pectoral muscle while working out, and he was already dealing with a knee injury he suffered at the Senior…[IMG]

I thought he was a bad pick when he was healthy, but what do I know.

SonofaBolt Go AJ! And take Norv with you.

I agree Lydell, and AJ has a record of doing this. He struck gold when he took a chance on McNeil and Cromartie because both of those draft picks paid dividends (McNeil the same season he was drafted and Cromartie the season after he was drafted), but he hasn't had that kind of luck since Buddy Nix left the team.

sradigan The idiot fan, I keep coming back!

The last time I checked, a 5th round pick was not a throw-away pick. I though that was what signing free agent punters to the roster following the draft was for.

This feels even worse today. I'm supposed to be happy that he took a high rated guy who fell to 18 and that he got the "Nation's best center" in the 7th. A nice safety pick-up that looks like any other team's "great" draft pick up looked good too. So yeah, we don't know how these picks will look once the season gets going but the team needed more picks not less and if DeCastro hadn't been available, I'd still say TRADE DOWN! but not only didn't he trade down to get more picks, he traded up and later he fucking wasted one on a player he knew wouldn't be available! -2..... AJ ate a bag of dicks

I won't go that far, but this definitely puts a dark cloud on it all to me.

I hate when he does this odd crap! And why aren't all the rest of the GMs willing to grab all the broken players we keep picking?

Whatever......I hope Ingram is a beast!!!

If Ingram and Taylor pan out I'll still be happy overall. I just don't understand the logic. If this guy was a more well rounded blocker maybe, but he sounds one dimensional. We need immediate help though. Makes no sense to me.

Were it not for our generous donation of a year's salary to Johnnie "brown" Troutman, we might Hadnot have had to pick up Hadnot. What a pathetic waste. It's not like the rookie was a sure thing starter pre-injuries anyway.

Anybody need a freewill donation??? The Chargers are in a giving spirit!! Come one, come all, if you are over 300#, we have free money for you!!
