he did bomb --including the Pentagon--and one of their bombs killed three of their members while they were making it (which was important for going after them because they went out of their way to not harm people). Whatever you think of their politics and their means to express it, none of this was recently discovered and all was out in the open back then as to who was involved. It's not like the guy became a well known professor and THEN stuff came out. As a well known academic, he has shit loads of friends and contacts. It is already known that Obama knows him, so it's silly that showing pictures of it now should change anything (though to be fair, it would incite with a properly managed campaign)
