Give him credit at 47. he made Dawson miss a lot and got in his head early, but in the end he looked like an old man and his best punches were headbutts. Love you X but it's time to turn the page.

Yeah...I'm a boxing fan.....the old man is through! He still has some great reflexes, but the young lion was hungry and fought that way.

You're right though....B-Hop still gave him work! I met him years ago at an NBA all-star game in Philly. My wife was working for Fleer Trading cards before it was bought out by Upper Deck and they had a box in the first union center....so we had tickets and as I'm cherring and making noise...I look to my left and see B-Hop in the box next to ours.

I told my wife....I'm gonna talk to him. I asked him when the rematch with him and Roy Jones Jr. was gonna happen....this was back when that would have been interesting still. He said as soon as he agrees to a reasonable split.

When halftime came and folks were going in and out...I went and got a pic with him and chatted a little bit. Nice dude!

Time to hang 'em up though!

I'm really looking forward to Mosley vs. Alvarez. I think this Alvarez kid is nice. Mosley has always been a favorite of mine, but judging what I've seen from him lately, I'm not sure he can hang with the young gun. Gonna be interesting to see what they are made of, both have a little something to prove.

I think the kid fights a little too conventionally for Mosley. Shane might give him more work than many expect. But Shane is starting to show signs of wear....so the kid might beat him with just that stiff jab.

It seems like Shane has become the guard to the door of the elite from 147-154. You gotta go through him to get a big fight with the top few guys.

    Should be interesting!

The fights I've seen from Alvarez showed him using his angles well with very quick reflexes. Obviously Mosley is cat quick too, but he's a lot older. I think it's a really interesting matchup. Alvarez is stepping up in class a little bit in this one.

I predict a KO or TKO either way. Lot's of multiple combo exchanges once they feel each other out a little. I see Mosley being the aggressor, getting off first. At some point they are both gonna let their hands go and someone is going to get their bell rung.

I still say it looked like Mosley threw that Maywether fight!...lol

I can see Alvarez knocking him out if he stays behind his jab and works the older fighter, but if he lets him get off first....Shane is going to give him a long night.

Not sure Shane has enough power to knock him out....so if Shane wins I expect it to be a decision.

As for Mosley vs. Maywheather......what fight were you watching?

I think you are getting caught up in the public persona of Floyd as opposed to the boxer himself.

At Shane's age when they fought and with Floyd's pure technical brilliance.....Floyd wins that fight 8-9 times out of 10!

He caught Floyd early and started head-hunting and got out-boxed. Same thing happened when Floyd fought Zab Judah. Zab had him and got away from what worked the first few rounds....Floyd figured out how to hit him and then out-boxed him too.

It may pain some to admit, but Floyd is the best boxing technician of his time and I wish the Manny fight would happen so folks would see that:
    Marquez out-boxing Manny=Floyd severely out-boxing Manny cause Floyd>Marquez>Manny!

Floyd is the best, I admit it. In that Mosley fight, Mosley looked great the first couple rounds, then they come out in the 3rd round (think it was the 3rd) and Mosley laid down and got passive. It looked like 2 different fighters.
