Ill agree to an extent...Ive been listening to the A=Roid stuff all week...Im sick of it...Why did he take the stuff?...Was going to lose his job? ...Was there a young rookie in the minors that was going to take his place?...What to normal people do when theres a possibility of losing their job?...They work harder...He took the easy way out...Hell even the Padres had guys on the stuff..Caminiti, Joyner...and Id be willing to be that Gregg Vaughn was on the stuff too Theres some clean players out there..and even during the time when Roids were running rampant...Maddux Im sure is one of them. Basicly Im sick of baseball...Most of it has to do with the fact that Moores has lied to Padres fans and now you compund this crap...Whats a fant to do? Im sick of baseball and cheaters in the sport Cheaters have been in the sport for ages...Be it a Gaylord Perry spitball, a Niekro nail file...you get my point...now its chemicals....CHEATERS
You mean like Bonds, Clemens, Tejada, Lo Duca, etc. I don't condone his actions. He is a cheater, plain and simple. But, he could have just denied/sued/attacked/ignore/hidden from it like everyone else, regardless of the evidence staring him right in the face. Unlike most of the players in his situation, he took the high road. I respect that he decided to tell the truth. I have never liked him and I will never will, but telling the truth shows some character. When will the rest of the players who took steroids do the same?
Eventually some of these players on the Mitchell Report will be in Cooperstown. Rose has a lifetime ban from baseball..He never was on the juice. Time for Rose to be enshrined in Cooperstown
i agree with you on the surface. BUT........how can you be so sure that maddux and griffey aren't on the list of 104 that tested positive like A-rod? people say that clemens stayed effective so late in his career b/c of steroids, then how can you be sure of maddux? in NO WAY am i accusing maddux or griff, but how can you be sure of ANYONE in the steroids era? i can't say anyone is clean or not. i'm not saying bring all the names forth, but EVERYONE (even the clean ones) are under a microscope just because of the era they played in.
