The Full Color Football series about the birth & rise of the AFL that NFLN has been airing is really good. I've learned a number of things that were more "back-room" related that I didn't realize. Gives you some good insight into Uncle Al, among many other things.
I watched every episode...That was an EXCELLENT series...tons of insight on a lot of things that you'd never have known Not that I'm a fan of Uncle AL....but he definitely was all about the AFL
I have them all DVR'd. Like you, not a fan of Al, but it did give me some insight into his interactions with the league. He got put into the position of the AFL's pit bull, then got his chain shortened. Ultimately the deal that Hunt, Schramm, & Rozelle struck was good for the growth of the sport, but they did blindside Al.
Musta been awesome...I can only watch this recap and pray for the day we're called world champions again... But I'll never let them talk down our 63 championship
