Chargers fans who followed the team in the Air Coryell era remember the commonly used phrase sportswriters used to describe the depth behind Kellen Winslow (Eric Sievers and Pete Holohan) "A troika of tight-ends..." Looks like we may have a 2009 version of the troika.

It would be cool to see a three tight end set and then split them out wide before the snap just to get some of the LB's away from the action. Then either run up the gut, or play action pass with the LBs not being able to match up with the tight ends.

I'd like to see some more balls thrown in Sperry's direction. I have little to base this on except rumor, but I've heard that he's an outstanding blocker with very good hands. Wilson probably makes the roster, but maybe we'll be able to stash Sperry on the PS.
