I haven't found a space strategy game that has come close to StarFlight yet.., often replicated, never duplicated.
StarFlight was one of the greatest space-themed games ever. I played that game for weeks straight on the IBM PC (DOS)., and then later got it on the Sega Genesis. While not as precise as it's IBM predecessor., the Genesis version still delivered the excitement and satisfaction of space exploration and interaction.
I had always hoped that EA would of released a StarFlight 2 for the Genesis, but they never did. They did however release a Starflight 2 for the IBM PC (DOS)., but I never had the opportunity to play it.
