unwritten law

Now that football season is nearing its offical end; I joined a flag football league with some buddies to get my football fix. I am now in the market for some football cleats and gloves. I will mostly be playing DB with some WR mixed in. Any suggestions on good cleats and gloves? Any particuliar styles or brands? Or should I just stick with brand recognition and score Reebok NFL Equipment?
I just bought a pair of Nike's that are great.
But they are hightops for linemen.
Nike is great. So is Reebok. And Under Armor has cleats, too. I used to have a pair of cheap Russels, but they weren't very good.
If you're playing on a grass field that gets muddy, you have to use the removeable cleats instead of the molded cleats. The removeable ones are longer, give you more traction and can be used for years and years - just change the cleats. But the molded ones are usually pretty tiny cleats and once the cleats are worn down, the shoe is useless.

Damn that really sounds like fun . I wish I has the time to do stuff like that . We should start a GTP softball team or something !

I would last exactly one-half of one game before my calf/hamstring/arm/head falls off while running out a play. Getting old sucks- I'm 41 and play hockey 3 days a week, but when I lace up cleats, muscles come unraveled for some reason. My advice? 'Roids.
